Project Details

Scope of Work: Slab strengthening with Tyfo SCH Systems to meet current office loadings and allow the retainment of listed facades.

The Challenge

This 1904 office building was being refurbished for the administration department of a private bank in London’s Fleet Street.

The Solution

Designed and installed the Tyfo Fibrwrap Carbon Fibre Strengthening system to achieve the clients requirements. The design was for two layers of our SCH systems applied in double thickness at 300mm width strips at 600mm centres. This application allowed the effective design and install of all M&E services.

The Result

“Fibrwrap UK proposed a unique solution that we had never come across before. There high strength, lightweight system is perfect for carrying out these kinds of repairs in old building’s with restricted head heights.”

“The key factor in deciding to go with Fibrwrap was not only the cost but also the speed and efficiency of the system. It didn’t affect any other works or the construction timeline and being so thin you wouldn’t know it was even there.
